Didn't Nostradamus predict this? He called it the Pixel Apocalypse.

When poor web user experiences reach critical mass, the pixels will attack turning our world into a giant black rotating pixel. Only good experiences can save us.

Ahh. There it is. Awesome! I want to show it to my son, but he won't understand all the references to Pac Man, et. al. I guess I'm getting old!
