that doesn't seem to broken, towing abandoned cars is pretty normal practice, broken is abandoning a car....

Posted by: Vic at July 19, 2005 01:31 PM

Definately broken. I wonder if the "bad parkers" are in the Marketing, Sales or Programming depts.

What is broken is not that they tow away the abandoned vehicles, but the fact that they ask you to call a certain number, but the number is deleted from the sign!!!

BROKEN

Sam,

Ok I'll bite, the number was deleted in the photo of the sign so a bunch of prankers don't start calling it.

HAHA, you should change the catagory to just for fun for this. If anything is broken, its yahoo security for leting this happen to their parking lot.

Hmm...Note the folks at the newly opened Hillsboro, Oregon Yahoo! office: we'll be watching you.

ALL YOUR CAR ARE BELONG TO US.

Yahoo has a legal right to tow vehicles left on their property but must first post a warning to the owner per the law usually about 72hrs so therefore they are following legal guidelines so not broken.

I feel a certain point may be overlooked here.

Not all the parking pictures are that of the same lot. Only those tagged with a Yahoo flyer can be determined for certain. What is broken is the drivers not being able to park. This makes me furious especially here in south LA where there is an ambulance chaser ad on tv at every commercial break and driving up our insurance cost.

They made carrying ins. mandatory to drive down the cost of ins and legal battles but these damn ambulance chasers who promise instant wealth to the victims. Then the victim barely receives anymore than they would have anyway after the lawyer fees.

end rant and no I have never been on the giving or receiving end of a law suit it just pisses me off when we do things like decide to have a lottery to reduce taxes but then taxes keep going up.

In my parking lot, people who park their really nice cars over two spots to 'protect' them usually wind up with spit, soda or worse on their cars when they come back. Also, the worst are people who park angled into a corner, usually blocking a pedestrian walkway...I've seen cars that were keyed, kicked, spat upon, etc.

So, I guess the rule is: if you have a nice car and want to protect it, weigh the possibility of getting a door ding against getting your car vandalized by an irate person.

What is truly broken is not the parking, but that Yahoo is unable to provide parking lots that are big enough for their employees.

I see nothing broken here, other than the forever-anal first post and the triple posting above.

Daaaaa!!!!!!

Does somebody always have to make an ALL YOUR BASE reference? Anyway, this is broken, but people are morons. Next post, please.

_@_v - what's really broken is yahoo sloppy coding and or server management that's been keeping group and mail pages from loading in internet explorer mac for 2 or 3 weeks now.

_@_v - sometimes yahoo will work fine but now it seems pages sit blank for five minutes before the server finally deigns to feed the data to fully load.

_@_v - other browsers like mozilla seem to load yahoo pages fine but they're browsers i don't like using do to them (mozilla) sucking even more than a microsoft product.

Internet Explorer for Mac? People still use that?

I'd say something's seriously wrong with IE 5 Mac -- it slaps "_@_v -" in front of each line of your posts. I'd get that checked out.

the first pic looks too fake to be real(the one with the car on its side inbetween two other cars)

Posted by: phil at July 20, 2005 08:08 PM

_@_v - yes robby people (and gastropods) still use internet explorer 5 for mac. some of us have summer cabins and prefer to keep the old computer there for websurfing and krep - who's gonna steal an old p-mac 7600...

_@_v - and lame comments about avatars is so broken....
