Broken: Human body toy packaging

Frog_human_boSam G writes in:

I was at the Dollar Tree store and saw this educational children's toy labeled, "Human Body."

Obviously, the toy was actually a frog. Perhaps they are encouraging the theory of evolution.

Comments:

like the dude with 4 arms would have been more accurate.

fantastic. gotta show that to a biology teacher.

HAHAHA!

Posted by: AnyKey at December 9, 2005 12:37 AM

Wow, the things they can do with genetics... human=frog

Posted by: Fuzzy at December 9, 2005 08:13 AM

which came first, the human or the frog?

Posted by: Nathan at December 9, 2005 08:27 AM

Well, it just looks like a frog now, but kiss it, and then see what it is...

Posted by: Jay at December 9, 2005 09:02 AM

gmangw: The four-armed guy is actually a famous work by Leonardo Da Vinci, who spent a great deal of time studying the human body, like proportion and muscle structure.

And it has absolutely NOTHING to do with a rubber frog. The frog is see-through...is that a giant sperm inside him?

Posted by: Manni at December 9, 2005 09:54 AM

To Jay,

Good one man ... Teh winner!!

Posted by: darkstar at December 9, 2005 10:44 AM

"The Four Legged Man"= Vitruvian Man

this pic = Vitruvian Man on Uranium- not broken, just before its time

Posted by: smartypants at December 9, 2005 11:29 AM

That's why it is one dollar. Wherever it was packaged the people can't read English.

Posted by: Dennis at December 9, 2005 11:30 AM

P.S. leo did alot of study and disections of every living thing, humans anphibians, and animals- so this toy is replicating his anatomical study w/ fun froggy parts!

Posted by: smartypants at December 9, 2005 11:31 AM

This is a great example of "Engrish". See the website Engrish.com for an explanation of how this ends up happening, but basically in other cultures, particularly in Japan, they often use English words to "look cool", virtually ignoring their meaning. Think all the people you've seen that have chinese symbol tattoos but don't speak Chinese.

Posted by: lk at December 9, 2005 01:58 PM

Posted by: im_an_alien at December 9, 2005 02:29 PM

_@_v - if the saying "you are what you eat" is true, that could be a french dude...

_@_v - at least one that eats more frogs than snails...

Posted by: she-snailie_@_v at December 9, 2005 02:43 PM

um, wouldn't it actually be wwtfsmd? way to make 'the' feel unimportant. you prolly just gave it a complex...

Posted by: ambrocked at December 9, 2005 02:59 PM

IT'S PEOPLE!! FROGGY GREEN IS PEOPLE!!

Posted by: Pat at December 9, 2005 03:47 PM

Pat, that joke ran out of goodness in the Old Navy post.

Posted by: nickd at December 9, 2005 04:49 PM

Pat,

I was thinking the same thing, but you beat me to it. good one.

Soylent Green is FROGS!?!?!?

Um, the whole point of acronyms is that words like "the" don't count.

i.e. PETA = People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Notice that "for", "the", and "of" aren't actually part of the acronym.

"In this episode of 'Human Body', an unsuspecting human "consumer" pics up the evil 'Green Frog' from the Dollar Tree store...Stay tuned to see what happens next!"

Posted by: thehumanbodyshow at December 9, 2005 06:48 PM

Obviously not broken.

Posted by: EricJ2190 at December 10, 2005 11:28 AM

It's simple. He croaked!

Posted by: Loren Pechtel at December 10, 2005 11:57 AM

"in acronyms like WTF and STFU, "The" is included"

That's because they were invented and used by morons.

Posted by: WTF at December 11, 2005 01:23 PM

Posted by: Nick at December 17, 2005 09:30 PM

are you ppl still talking bout the frog or shortented swearwords???

Posted by: james at December 19, 2005 09:34 PM

Perhaps this is one of those toys you put in water and it changes form. Possibly a human?

Posted by: Ed at March 8, 2006 03:04 PM

along w/ the giant sperm thing, if you look closely, you will see that the "sperm"'s head is actually a human head with a limbless stick body. Darwin's Theory was true!!!!!! LOL!!!

Posted by: Tom Welling at March 24, 2006 04:38 PM
