Broken: ATM plaques

AtmplaquesA reader submits a picture taken in St. Petersburg, Florida:

When I was downtown, I saw this ATM with six permanent plaques of information.

There has to be a better way to convey all the information in those six different plaques!

Comments:

It seems that they just kept figurin out problems and adding plaques to address each one. I wonder why they didn't take the time to make the plaques look the same.

Why do some comments appear twice? Never could figure that one out. As for the ATM, the disorganized aspect of the signs makes it look junky and I'm not sure I'd use a facility that can't get it's act together enough to make their equipment look professional.

Well, for one that's extremely ancient equipment if it still uses a green phosphor monochrome display. Also means that any extra instructions likely can't be programmed into whatever that unit runs, so they put reminders/instructions on the unit.

I'm guessing they'll replace it somebetween now and when it eventually breaks or gets severe screen burn.

haha ninja.

What's also broken about double posting is that sometimes the poster has clicked "Post" but the web page doesn't load for around 20 seconds, so they click "Post" again...

BTW they should scrap that machine. It looks like it's been around since the vacuum tube computers.

The 2 comment poster here. I hit post on the first one, realized my error, and then hit stop immediately. I corrected it then hit post again where it made me confirm my post by typing in the text that appeared in an image. But when the page loaded both posts came up even though i only confirmed the first one, and I didn't have the ability to withdraw the post. This needs to be fixed. (and i should have used the preview button)
