Broken: Cookie name

BscookiesA reader writes in:

I came across these cookies in a local Osco Drugstore.

Maybe I'm missing something and not up to speed on confectionary lingo, but does this sound appetizing to anyone?

Comments:

Sounds fine to me, though if you think that is two cookies for $5, it may be a typo, might have been intended to say BX Cookies, for two boxes of cookies for $5 (the s key is reasonably near the x key).

"no BS. WE HAVE COOKIES!"

hey i was first. but i won't say anything

Posted by: bonsushi at August 8, 2006 12:46 AM

15 oz. of BS per cookie is the maximum that the food and drug people will allow. Otherwise they they would have to have a warning label. Maybe this is what they feed the people who are so full of it;)

Bake Sale cookies, buy these and then resell them for $5/cookie. A perfect money making scheme. No B.S.

What is broken is that it says

"comments(0)" right now for this entry.

Maybe all the comments are in stealth mode.

For some reason, I can't help but think of the term "cow pie"...

I noticed that too. I thought "FIRST! Why are there no comments 20 hrs. from its posting?"

Do you another thing that is broken? This wasn't posted in "just for fun."

It says Comments(12) now.

BS could easily be a cookie brand, ie Bullsh*t Cookies. Speaking of IE, TIB should support it!

Something's different. I get to post without image verification!

Posted by: Sean at August 9, 2006 06:13 AM

Doesn't 'BS' in the context of edible material stand for 'Bake Sale'?

And why should TIB support a broken product? (i.e., IE)

Obviously, this is a simple case of someone else trying to get a piece of the action. What have we seen for years? Girl Scout cookies. These are obviously Boy Scout (BS) cookies!

BS couldn't be something so pedestrian as an abbreviation for Bake Shop, possibly a store brand used by the retailer?

Posted by: ItsADryHeat at August 10, 2006 03:28 PM

wouldn't that just be an empty box? or maybe it's something spammers use? :)

I guess that why its a "Budget Buy"...
