Broken: Easy CD-DA Creator

Martijn de Visser writes:

This is an error message displayed by Easy CD-DA Creator complaining to the user that it can't perform an operation, because it is already doing so...

Comments:

Boy, that's a real ridiculous error message. You mean you can't burn a CD while you're already burning a CD?

Definitely not broken.

Unless the poster wasn't burning a CD.

This person is computer illiterate. Plus their using one of the worst programs to burn a cd.

i agree with me there... easy cd creator is definitly NOT easy- let me explain the burning process:

1. insert cd to be copied

2. list tracks to be copied

3. click copy cd

seems easy, right? wrong.

4. dialog: insert cd to copy

5. testing track 1

6. dialog: insert blank cd-r/rw

7. simulating track 1

8. dialog: insert cd to copy

9. testing track 2

10. insert blank cd-r/rw

11. simulating track 2

and the list goes on for however many tracks you have, and THEN it repeats the same process over again, except this time it actually burns the tracks. you do have an option to turn off the simulation, but the process still takes over an hour for a normal 12-13 track cd

and no, that error isn't broken. unless i'm mistaken, you have another version of easy cd creator installed that is "claiming" your cd burner

I have used easy cd creator. buy yourself a cd-rom drive that is as fast or faster than the write speed of you cd/rw drive, preferably twice the write speed. then you can do a drive to drive copy without all that swapping. or extract the tracks to your hard drive (if you got the room) first, then burn from HD to cd/rw.

How about a better alternative to Not-So-Easy CD Creator: NERO!! It's so much better, as copying cd's is just like burning from the HD

I have a HP CD Writer Plus 9100 Series on my PC. I bought this PC used, from a friend of a friend. I'm trying to find a good CD Burning software that'll work with my computer specs & CD writer. Do you have any advice on which ones out there are good? I'd appreciate your input if you don't mind. Thank you!

I tried the free copy of Easy CD-DA Creator. It work ok, I just wasn't able to burn like some of you have already pointed out it's negatives.

Here are myComputer Specs/Info:

Microsoft Windows 2000

382 KB RAM

2 Genuine Intel

450 Mhz
